| This area is not technically west Texas, but it is west of us here on the northeast Gulf Coast. We were visiting friends who had retired to run a little country store across the road from the barn and windmill. I climbed atop a little shed to get a better view and when I jumped off, I swung my arm to keep my balance and stuck the thorn tip of a yucca leaf through the tip of my finger. The thorn broke off inside my finger and it took a lot of digging with a needle to get it out. I guess that has nothing to do with windmills or photography, but it at least serves as a family story. |
