Call of Clint Grey as Youth Minister

Blank Space A Shadycrest Baptist "Search" Committee, under the leadership of God's Holy Spirit located Clint Gray and his wife Emily in a search for a youth minister. He was invited to visit the church in view of a call to this position; the call was extended and he accepted.

Our youth ministry has really grown since that time and photos and other information about it will be put on this page as time permits. In the meantime follow this link to the Youth Page on the official church web site.

Crossing the Dam
Making a Run through the Gap in the Dam

The Shadycrest Baptist Church's Men's Group made a kayak trip down the San Marcos River in San Marcos, Texas.

A couple of years ago some of the men from our church and our pastor made a kayak trip down the San Marcos river. They enjoyed it so much that they made a trip the year after that. A new member was baptized on that trip. So it was with some excitement that we looked forward to this year's trip.

About thirty men from the church from teenagers to my age left the church at 7:00 and headed for San Marcos. We took the 27-passenger bus, the 18 passenger van, a pickup to carry a portable grill, and three other guys drove out there on their on. One of my sons wanted the three of them and me to go, but my youngest son had to work.
